Hello Fellow Anglers
Greetings from paradise!
As usual, I've been busy the last couple of months. It's a hard job, but some-one's got to do it.
It's been a great summer. It seems like everywhere I turn, there's another hungry mouth to feed. That's a good thing, when you are talking about fish.
The top water bite for trout and reds has been consistent and should get even better as the water starts to cool. We've also been doing some different things. We are catching some really nice King Mackerel and large shark;there have been several times when we got into Mahi-Mahi right on the beach. What a bonus to add to a great day of red fishing.
We are now looking forward to fall, which is right around the corner, of course, the flats fishing will be on fire. Then there's the doormats(large flounder) and the big bull reds. Fall Pompano are also something to consider.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Fall is absolutely the best time of the year to fish. The water is cooling off, and the fish are feeding up for the winter.
Folks I've never done this before but I want to give "Props" to a friend of mine. Barbara Reese is a very dear friend who fishes with me alot. I've watched her angling skills grow, until sometimes, she tries to "guide the guide"!!! The reason I am so proud, is she is my student. I swelled with pride recently as I watched her land a 20 plus lb. King-fish on a trout rod with 10lb. line. I could tell the fish was really whooping her, and offered to take the rod. Never in my life have I received such a dirty look!!!!!!!!! If you have caught Kings before you know what that fish did to her, if not,I dare you, come try it--see if you are half the man that she is. Her picture is in my album, you can see that she ain't no body-builder.
As always, I would like to Give Thanks to Our Creator, for all he has bestowed on me, and Thanks to our military for helping us keep our blessings.
If you or someone you know has "special needs" please allow me to share my blessings with you. If I can share my joy with others, my Heavenly Father will be pleased. Give me a call and let's see what we can do.
Thank You and God Bless
Cap't. Steve
