greetings fellow anglers , welcome to BLESS-ED MOON CHARTERS .
first of all i want to let everyone know , we have "cleaned up " the beach this year . with much more police enforcing the rules , the sad scenes that have taken place in years past during the spring will be a thing of the past , so mom and dad can feel safe and welcome to bring the kiddo`s to enjoy the beach....
the spring fishing is getting good , the sheep-head and big redfish are biting well , i have been fishing mostly with live shrimp this time of year . just about any fish that swims will eat a frisky shrimp .
along with the bull reds and sheeps are plenty of nice black drum like this one pictured . they bite well , pull great , and are comparable to redfish in table fare .
on the flats the trout and slot reds are moving from the back-waters onto the main points and drop-offs .
there have been a few spanish mackerel caught , but i dont expect the "main run" for a week or so , although the water temp is getting RIGHT and were starting to see plenty of bait in the bay , so it should be any day that we see thousands upon thousands of spanish macks arriving
its THAT time of year , and as always ive got a bent rod with your name on it . thank you , be well , and be BLESSED
