greetings from the gulf coast .
the beach is still beautiful , i dont predict the oil will come onshore here with the gulf stream rotation , and if it does , it probably wont effect the bay .
the fishing has been second to none , we`ve been catching lots of big reds ,on the upper end of the slot limit . shown here is mark walling with a big-un he landed one afternoon aboard the blessed moon .
the king mackerel are showing up, were catching them on live bait as well as trolling.
we are still catching a few cobia , and the trout bite if on fire . theres nothing like working a top water lure on a calm flat early in the morning and having a big-ol trout explode on the lure .
many days , you can have a catch of 50 or more specks in a short while . lots of action to be had .
the sharks are doing their thing as well , i personally love to catch a big bull or blacktip on light tackle , theres nothing that compares to the fight you will have .
the fishing is great and the beach is beautiful so come on down and lets get some rods bent .
as always i would like to remind you to pray for our country , as well as our men and women of the armed forces , if you have the chance , let them know you appreciate them , they need to know this.
thank you , and god bless ,
captain steve
